Hello Marshall families,

In your child's backpack this week, we hope you will find a quick survey asking you about your interest in the development of a sixth through eighth grade program beginning at Marshall next year.  Please complete this form and return it to the school as soon as you're able to.  The FUSD school board has asked us to return our findings to them at their next meeting on October 27th.  If you don't receive a flyer, please contact us, or download a copy via Peachjar or the Marshall School blog at www.marshallmagnetschool.com.

While we have you on the phone, we hope you'll plan to attend next week's Site Council meeting.  Our Instructional Specialists team will be on hand to report out on our first quarter baseline assessment data.  We will also discuss matters related to school finances, policies, and ongoing projects and activities.  The Site Council meets monthly and for October we will meet at 4:00 on Tuesday October 27th in the Library.

Thanks for listening.  As always, if you missed any portion of this message, the text is available on our Facebook page and on the school blog: www.marshallmagnetschool.com.

SPANISH TEXT BELOW

Hello Marshall families,

Happy Friday!  We've got just  a few quick reminders for you this evening, so please stay on the line for the next minute or so to find out all about what's happening at Marshall School.

First of all, we hope you've scheduled a time to meet with your child's teacher next week during parent teacher conferences.  Please remember, we will release school early on Monday Tuesday and Wednesday.  On Monday and Tuesday, we will dismiss students at 12:25 and on Wednesday, we'll dismiss at the exceptionally early time of 11:10.  Thanks for planning accordingly.

Thursday and Friday next week school will be dismissed all day for our Fall Holiday.  Hope you enjoy the long weekend.

Don't forget to check Peachjar, FUSD's online flyer repository.  Notices about community events and activities are posted there on a regular basis.  The easiest way to access Peachjar is via the button on FUSD's Marshall School web site: www.fusd1.org/marshall.

Finally, as the weather grows colder, please remember, unless they are enrolled in FACTS or Co-op childcare, students are never to be dropped at the school in the morning prior to 8:15.  Adult supervision is not available until that time and children are not permitted to wait in the building unattended prior to 8:15.  Parents will be required to return to pick up children left unsupervised at the school prior to 8:15.

Thanks for listening everybody.  If you missed any portion of this message, the text is available on our Facebook page and on the school blog: www.marshallmagnetschool.com.
