The text of this evening's robo-call -- Friday, November 21, 2014

Hello Marshall families,

We've got a number of important updates for you this evening, so please stay on the line for the next couple of minutes to find out all about what's happening at Marshall School during the last week of November and the first weeks of December.

Please remember: we will have school as-usual on Monday and Tuesday of next week and then we will dismiss students for the long Thanksgiving weekend on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, November 26-28th, in order to allow all of our families time to travel and spend time with their loved ones.  We will see you back at school bright and early on Monday, December 1st.

The Marshall School PTO will hold its next meeting in the Library at 6:30 PM on Wednesday, December 3rd.  Everyone is encouraged to attend.  Childcare will be provided.

Our canned food drive will kick-off next week and run through Friday, December 5th.  Please send your canned food donations to the school with your child starting on Monday, November  24th, and throughout the coming two weeks.

We hope you're planning to attend our annual PTO Cookie Walk which will take place on Thursday, December 18th. This year, for the very first time, students will receive cookie walk tickets for reading books.  More information about the Cookie Walk and Read-a-thon will be sent home with your student soon.  Please keep an eye out for it and, if you haven't already done so, consider establishing a time each evening to read books together as a family.

Finally, we can't conclude a robo-call at this time of the year without reminding you, once again, that your tax credit contributions are due before December 31st if they are to be applied to your 2014 tax return.  Thus far this year, we've only received about 10% of what we received from our donors last year.  Please consider making your contribution to the school in order to sustain our one-of-a-kind magnet programs and activities for another year.

Thanks for listening everybody.  As always, if you missed any portion of this message, the text is available on our Facebook page and on the school blog:
